At the request of TLIS President Bruce Doyle and the Litchfield Board of Selectmen, an inspection of the Woodbury Dam occurred on August 31, 2010. The inspection was done by the Maine State Dam Inspector. Attached please find a copy of the dam inspector’s report.
Bruce Doyle has met with the Litchfield Selectmen to discuss the report and the recommended work. The selectmen have approved new gate panels, which have been ordered and will be installed later this year. The other recommendations will continue to be discussed in the months ahead.
TLIS will continue to represent our member’s interest regarding the dam. We wish to thank the Litchfield Board of Selectmen for their cooperation and help as we work together to ensure the dam is maintained properly.
